Froehlichs in Three Oaks, MI
We discovered Three Oaks Michigan three years ago when we decided to take our vacation up north rather than down south. I had never been to Michigan before and was excited to visit the many small towns and villages.
We stayed in St. Joseph which I feel in love with as soon as I saw Lake Michigan from the bluff downtown. I haven't seen Lake Michigan since I was a child. There are plenty of wonderful shops and deli's in St. Joseph and we spent the first couple of days walking the town and enjoying its offerings.
One day we took a trip south to Harbor Country and visited Three Oaks. We actually made a wrong turn and ended up there instead of New Buffalo. While this is really a quaint little village with not a lot to see and do we did discover Froehlichs, a charming little cafe on the main drag.
We enjoyed a wonderful lunch of soup and sandwich made from locally grown products. We also purchased a variety of their jams and jellys. We had such a great lunch and the staff was so helpful as to telling us about local things to do and see that we had lunch there the next four days.
Froehlichs will be a regular visit on our future visits to Michigan.
